2) Any rider found in possession of such substances at ZARS will be immediately ejected, forfeit monies paid for track days and be barred from further attendance for 6 months. If the substance is a narcotic or other dangerous drug, the rider will be permanently barred from any future courses with ZARS.
3) Any rider who creates a disruption to the point that it interferes with the regular operation of a course will be subject to ejection.

Brainerd/Mid America Motorplex Rules - Let’s minimize all risk

1) Riders may only enter the track under the approval of the gate staff.
2) Riders exiting the track into the pit area or paddocks may only re-enter the track under the approval of the gate staff.
3) Riders who ride off the course may only re-enter the track with the approval of a corner worker.
4) Any rider who crashes may not directly re-enter the track. That rider must wait for the crash vehicle to bring the bike back to the pit area during a break. If bike is “ride-able,” rider must wait for a corner worker approval to bring bike back into the parking area.

Such riding includes blatant violation of flag conditions as displayed by corner workers. Riders who act in such manner and are reported to track staff will be ejected from the course, without exception or appeal.
6) Only the registered rider may ride on the track during ride sessions.
7) Any rider observed riding recklessly in the parking area may be ejected from the event. However, warnings will be given wherever possible for minor rule violations. Remember, we're here to have a good time and learn how to become better street riders, not police our riders every moment of every event.
8) If you are on the driving course on a liter bike or of similar size and have bikes piling up behind you, we ask that you allow the riders to pass.
Passing rules:
It is the responsibility of the overtaking rider to make a clean pass. The rider being passed has the right of way and should not react any differently while being passed.
Novice- No passing in any corner, except turns 1 and 2 on the outside (1 and 2 are fairly straight). The passing rider must be at least 2 bike lengths from the rider they are passing.
Intermediate- Passing is allowed throughout the track, except on the inside of the corners. The passing rider must be at least 2 bike lengths from the rider they are passing.
Advanced- Passing is allowed throughout the track.
10) Control Riders:
We have dedicated dedicated instructors who have a tremendous amount of experience and are highly qualified. Control Riders assist riders on the track and “police” the track to ensure that all riders are riding within their own limits and following the ruled. See hand signals you may see from a control rider listed below in procedures.
11) No wheelies or stunts at anytime.
12) No stopping on the track at anytime. If you are coming up on an incident, don’t’ stop and help, reduce your speed.
Remember, this is not racing, there is no checkered flag!

On Track Flagging & Procedures

Exiting the Track- Must READ for ALL!

Here is an illustration all must review.
1. Signal your intent to exit before 7 with a raised left hand.
2. Stay to the far left side of the track all the way around turn 8. Please continue at a safe pace, but don't dawdle. There are riders still continuing on track and other riders that may be exiting with the intent to ride through the pits and rejoin.
3. Exit through the 2 cones on the far left of turn 9 and continue following the track exit lines into the pits.
4. Once in pit lane stay to the far left if exiting and the far right if re-entering the track.

Instructor/Control Riders Hand Signals- Learn ‘em

Pat on tail: “Follow me”
Arm waving past: “OK to pass”
Arm moving up and down: “Slow down”
Point to the line on the track: “Follow and try this line”
Tap on their tail section: “Move in behind/move off line”

Corner Workers/Flags- Know ‘em

There will be cornerworkers positioned at strategic points around the track to monitor for potential hazards, should any situation occur. They will be armed with flags and radios to alert you of any hazards. Cornerworkers are essential. Corner workers monitor all activity on the track and are responsible for maintaining a safe environment. What he or she says, goes. The flags they will use are as follows:

Yellow Flag: Displayed at the problem corner and possibly the one before. Be extra cautious! Something has happened up ahead. Back off a little, but don’t stop! Be prepared to change your line. You do not need to put a hand up on the yellow flag.

Waiving Yellow Flag: Displayed at the problem corner and possibly the one before. Take extra caution. Back off slightly and be prepared. No passing is allowed until you are past the situation.

Red Flag: Displayed at all stations. The session is over due to an unsafe situation. Slow down smoothly and bring your bike into the pits. At the last corner station, if the red flag is displayed, this will indicate that the session has ended. Riders will need to continue at speed until about half way to exit the track, then progressively start to slow down until you get to pit in. If you were to roll off too suddenly, you could get hit by someone behind you.

Black Flag pointed at you: The flag will be displayed, then rolled up and pointed at you as you go by a cornerworker and/or at start/finish. The flag will be shown if something is wrong with your bike. Get off the racing line and bring your bike into the next safe area or exit the track. Your bike may be leaking oil, etc., so it is very important you stay away from the line where everybody will be. If the rolled up black flag is only at the last corner station, it means that you may be in the wrong group or it is a behavioral problem. Please exit and pull in and report to the “check-in” area.
